The city was founded by a Syed Jagirdar during theMughalperiod and christened in honor of his father Muzaffar Ali Khan. Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh is known for its temples and other places of religious interest. The main attraction of the city is thetempleof Bhairo.
