Gorakhnath Temple

Guru Gorakhnath is also worshiped in Nepal. The khichdi of the king of Nepal is offered even now. Five to six lakh devotees worship on Makar Sankranti. It is believed that while roaming from the place of Jwaladevi, 'Guru Gorakhnath' came and did penance in the coastal area of Bhagwati Rapti and established his divine samadhi at the same place. The Gorakhnath temple is built there. Its grandeur is visible from a distance. Light and sound show along with Bhim Sarovar is the major center of attraction.

Geeta Press

Gita Press is the world's leading center for publishing Hindu religious texts and books. In 1923, Jaya Dayal Goyandka and Ghanshyam Das Jalan laid the foundation of Gita Press. Published the holy Gita and its interpretations, the sacred epics Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, Upanishads, works of various saints and gurus. Gorakhpur Archaeological Museum

Established in 1957, this archaeological museum portrays the history, rules, culture, traditions and archaeological findings of past and present Gorakhpur. Kusamhi forest is a dense forest of sal trees. It is located at a distance of nine kilometers from Gorakhpur railway station. Government Buddhist Museum

The Government Buddhist Museum located in the Ramgarh Tal area is a center of special attraction for tourists. This museum was established in the year 1987 for the preservation of diverse elements. The museum is important from this point of view as it houses archaeological objects from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. These display stone objects, bronze sculptures, metal objects, terracotta, pottery, manuscripts, ivories, miniatures, punchmark coins, thankas and many more.

Railway Museum

This unique railway museum and attached amusement park is the center of attraction in Gorakhpur tourist place. This museum was opened to the public in the year 2007. The most special attraction of this museum is the steam engine of Lord Lawrence. It was made in London in 1874 and imported to India by a ship. Apart from this, there is also a photo gallery, uniforms, old clocks and even other engines. There is also a toy train for the entertainment of the children. It will take around 2 hours to visit the entire museum.

Nehru Park

Nehru Park is located in Laldiggi area of Gorakhpur, it is next to Geeta Press. The park has a very dignified and beautiful look because of the fountains and the dazzling multi colored lights. Its serene surroundings and beautiful greenery are ideal for spending a good time in the evening after a busy day. There is also a memorial dedicated to the life and memory of freedom fighter Ram Prasad Bismil on 16 September 2005. It was at the forefront of the revolutionary Manipuri and Kakori conspiracies and the struggles against British tyranny. Ramgarh Tal Gorakhpur

Ramgarh Tal is a major tourist destination of Gorakhpur. It is a very big lake. This lake is situated in the heart of Gorakhpur city and is spread over a very large area. On the banks of this lake you get to see beautiful gardens and you get to see Marine Drive. You can also enjoy boating in Ramgarh Tal.
