How to Reach West Bengal

  By Air

  The nearest airport to North 24 Parganas is the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. It is located at a distance of about 15 km from the district. The airport is well connected to major cities in India and abroad. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach North 24 Parganas.

  North 24 Parganas is well connected to Kolkata and other major cities in West Bengal by road. The district has a good network of state highways and national highways. You can either take a bus or hire a taxi to reach North 24 Parganas. If you are coming from Kolkata, you can take the National Highway 12 (NH12) that connects Kolkata to the North 24 Parganas district. It is a distance of about 20 km from Kolkata. The NH12 passes through several towns and cities, including Barasat, which is the district headquarters of North 24 Parganas. If you are coming from other parts of West Bengal, you can take the State Highway 2 (SH2) that connects the district to other major cities in the state. The SH2 passes through several towns and cities, including Kalyani and Krishnanagar.

  North 24 Parganas has a good network of railways connecting it to major cities in India. The district has two railway stations - Sealdah and Dum Dum. Both these stations are well connected to Kolkata and other major cities in the country. From Sealdah or Dum Dum, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach North 24 Parganas.
