Located in Konark, Odisha, the Sun Temple was built in the 13th century, this monument is famous today as a World Heritage Site. It is a Sun Temple also known as Black Pagoda. Built by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty around 1250, the temple is in the shape of an ornamental chariot. Although a large part of the temple complex is now in ruins, it is still a permanent example of ingenuity and superior architecture. The temple was envisioned as a giant solar chariot, with twelve pair of horses, drawn by seven rearing horses. The temple received the name of the Black Pagoda from the sailors because it was a reference to them. This temple is built in the shape of a very large chariot, in which the wheels of precious metals, Pillars and walls are made. The main part of the temple is on the verge of destruction today. This chariot has 12 pairs of wheels made of metal which is 3 meters wide and has a total of 7 horses in front. This temple has also been designed according to the traditional Kalinga system. And this temple has been built towards the east or the way that the first rays of the sun fell directly on the entrance of the temple. This temple was constructed from Khondalit stones. Kal Bhairav Temple
Kal Bhairav Temple is one of the oldest temples of Varanasi. Kal Bhairav is considered to be the custodian of the city and there is a perception that Kaal Bhairav protects his devotees at the time of distress.

Crisis Redemption Temple
It is said that the crisis redemption Hanuman Temple in Varanasi was established by the famous Sant Goswami Tulsidas and the temple was constructed by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya at the beginning of the 20th century. Crowds of devotees provide food to hundreds of monkeys living here. The temple has also been a victim of a terrorist attack in March 2006.
