Bareilly, a shopkeeper s paradise, is located on the banks of the Ramgangariverin central Uttar Pradesh state. The city is located 252 km north of the state capital Lucknow and 250 km east of the national capital New Delhi. It is known for many temples and religious places across the city. It is also home to some interestingmuseumsand amusement parks situated on the Ramganga River. Bareilly is also a major center for furniture manufacturing, especially cane furniture.

The city is also known as Bamboo - Bareilly. Cane, the city is not named after the restrictions, but after two princes, Bansaldev and Baraldev, are the sons of Jagat Bareilly Singh Katehariya who founded the city in 1537. It is one of the largest cities in the state and is famous for its furniture industry, and cotton and sugar mills. The city is also called Bans-Naked due to the huge sugarcane furniture industry.

The city also has two museums - the Army Service CorpsMuseumand the Panchala Museum. There are also some historical places like Ramnagar Fort, which is just 25 km away. Bareilly is famous for Swal. Swal is one of the most famous dishes of Bareilly. People usually eat it for breakfast. It is mainly made by gram flour and served with mashed Aalu Ka Chokha.

Bareilly is known for its temples, especially the four Shiva temples. The four corners of the city are Dopeshwarnath, Maninath, Trivathinath and Alkhanath. Lakshmi Narayan Temple is also worth visiting. Bareilly has some amusement parks located as Fun City is a famous amusement park like Fun City and Bund Amusement and Water Park. There are some good places to see here, such as both Phulbagh Fountain and Children s Park are located in the cantonment area. There are other famous gardens such as Company Bagh in Civil Lines and Lichibagh in the fort area. A great place to enjoy the slide and a family picnic. Some other religious places include Dargah-e-Ala-Hazrat, Bibji Ki Masjid and Sri Sai Mandi. Those who are interested in the history of the city can visit the Panchala Museum and the Army Service Corps Museum.
