Dashavatar Temple This exquisite Vishnu temple is the first Panchatatan temple in the whole of North India. The sculpture gate, which is the entry point to the sacred chamber, has figures of the Ganges and Yamuna, the Gajendramoksa panel, the Nara Narayana tapasya and the everlasting Vishnu are three huge volumes, which depict Vaishnava mythological stories. It is under the supervision of Betwa in the Jain Temple Canali Fort. This place was a place of Jainism between the 6th and 17th centuries. Incidents and glimpses of mythological stories, Tirthankar paintings, fasting pillars, tableau of Mannato, Jain paintings and much more are presented in large sections in and around these temples. An excellent assortment of sculptures can be seen in the display of the Deogarh Archaeological Museum.
