Chhatarpur Tourism

Chhatarpur was established in Madhya Pradesh in 1785. It was founded by Chhatrasal, the leader of the Bundela Rajput clan. This district is known for attracting tourists from all over the world. Raneh waterfall is also located in this district. It is the only waterfall in Asia which has magnetic rocks which are called igneous rocks. Another waterfall in this district is called Pandava Falls. According to legend in the Mahabharata, Pandavas did not take shelter near the waterfall, and hence the name Pandava Falls.

Chhatarpur is known for its holy city Jatashankar and temples such as Bumber Baini (Durga Temple), Hanuman Tauria (Hanuman Temple) and many more. Even Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum Chhatarpur which displays the life style and history during the reign of Chhatrapal. Panna National Park is known as one of the most famous national parks in India near the Ken River. This park was built to protect the flora and fauna present in the forest.
