| 1 | Amer Fort | Rajasthan |
The Amer Fort was originally built by Raja Man Singh in 1592 and later developed by Sawai Jai Singh. Amber Fort is one of the most famous tourist destinations not only in Jaipur but also in the whole of Rajasthan. Made of red sandstone and marble, this fort has four floors. There are separate courtyards on each floor. This fort is located in the small town of Amer, just 1 km from Jaipur. Situated high on a hill, the Amber Fort is built in marble and red sandstone. It is an example of the royal past of the region. Although the exterior has a rugged appearance, the interiors of the fort are still in magnificent shape. It can be rightly said that Amber Fort is an integral part of the unique identity of Jaipur. It is believed that it was originally built by the Meenas, which was later ruled by King Mansingh I. This fort is known for artistic Hindu architecture. In this fort, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Sheesh Mahal (Darpan Mahal), Jai Mandir and Sukh Niwas are included where the air flowing in through the water in the fort creates an artificially cooled atmosphere. Tourists from not only the country but also from all over the world come to see this fort.
