Parshuram Mahadev Temple
The temple of Parasuram Mahadev is on the border of Rajsamand and Pali district of Rajasthan. The main cave-temple falls in Rajsamand district while Kunddham falls in Pali district. To go to this cave temple, 500 stairs have to be travelled. Inside this cave-temple, there is a land shivling where the sixth incarnation of Vishnu, Parhuram, had made harsh penance for many years of Lord Shiva. On the strength of austerity, he received a bow, Akshay Tuer and Divine Farsa from Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Parhuram had made harsh penance of Shiva on the fumigation under the main shivling. The same cave has a monster shape on a rock. Which Parhuram had killed with his faras.
