Mahabodhi Temple
It is the most famous attraction of the region. Mahabodhi Temple is located in the east of Bodhi tree. The height of this architectural marvel is about 170 feet. The temple is also revered because it is one of the 18 superpower benches (bhakti mandir where the body parts of the goddess Sati fell), and is located above Mangalgauri Hill. During the monsoon months, a special puja ceremony is held every Tuesday. Women fast so that their family and husbands get success and fame.
Mahavir Mandir
The temple was built in the 17th century and gained popularity after the partition of India in the year 1947 when a large number of Hindus fled the newly built Pakistan and began settling in the city. This temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavir and is blessed at this place. Now, it has become a famous religious place in the city and is mostly seen by tourists.
