Mahesana, also known as Mehsana, is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is located in the northern part of the state and is the administrative headquarters of the Mahesana district. As per the 2011 census, the population of Mahesana was around 2.03 lakh. The majority of the population comprises of Hindus, with Muslims, Jains, and Christians being the other religious communities. Gujarati is the primary language spoken in the city, with Hindi and English being widely understood and spoken as well. Mahesana is known for its friendly and hospitable people who take pride in their culture and traditions.
Mahesana has a growing economy, with agriculture, industry, and services being the primary sectors. The city is known for its production of cotton, groundnuts, and tobacco. The Mahesana district is also a hub for ceramic and tile manufacturing, with several large factories located in the region. The city is well-connected to the rest of the state by road and rail, and the Ahmedabad-Mehsana Expressway has made commuting faster and more convenient. The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation has established several industrial estates in the region, providing employment opportunities to the local population.

The city is known for its vibrant festivals and celebrations, with Navratri and Diwali being the most popular ones.
