Thiruvananthapuram is located on the west coast of India, on the southwestern tip of the Indian peninsula. The city has an average elevation of 16 feet (5 meters) above sea level and covers an area of 214.86 square kilometers. Thiruvananthapuram has a tropical climate with heavy rainfall during the monsoon season from June to September. The average temperature in the city ranges from 27 °C to 32 °C.

Culture and Festivals 

Thiruvananthapuram is known for its vibrant culture and diverse festivals. The city has a strong tradition of art, literature, music, and dance, which is reflected in its festivals and events.
