Chail is a beautiful place situated in the Himalayan plains in Himachal Pradesh. Especially in the summer season, outside Delhi is a great place to enjoy VKend. How was Chail settled
It is said that when Maharaja Bhupendra Singh of Patiala was stopped by the British from going to Shimla, Maharaj settled it in the year 1891. He made this beautiful place his summer capital. During that time, he also built a palace to live here. The palace is now known as Palace Hotel, one of the oldest Palace Resorts in the country. Maharaj"s Rajgarh Palace has also been opened as a hotel for the common people. You too can enjoy staying in this palace.

Siddha Baba"s temple
Maharaja Bhupendra Singh built the Siddha Baba temple at Chail. There is an interesting story behind the construction of this temple. It is said that a Siddha man had come in Maharaj"s dream and it was only on his suggestion that the king established a Siddha Peetha at that place. This temple is located about 1.5 kilometers from Chail.
Cricket-Polo Ground
The cricket ground situated on the top of the mountain is one of the highest cricket and polo grounds in the world. Both of these grounds are located about 3 kilometers from Chail.
Wildlife Sanctuary
Chail Wildlife Sanctuary is also quite popular among the tourists visiting here. One can see many wild animals here. This Sanctuary is spread over an area of about 10,855 hectares. It is located about 3 kilometers from Chail.
Maharaja Palace
This palace is situated on the Rajgarh Hill of Chail. It was built in 1891. It is also known as Rajgarh Palace. Its architect is also worth visiting. It is also popular as the house of Ranchoddas Chanchar of 3 Idiots film.
Black dunes
Do not forget to see Kali"s dune after Chail arrives. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. The beautiful view of the Shivalik range is visible from here.
