The airport is well-connected to major cities in India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi. Some of the airlines that operate flights to and from Gaya include Air India, IndiGo, and SpiceJet. If you are travelling from outside India, the nearest international airport is the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, which is about 400 km away from Gaya. From Kolkata, you can take a connecting flight to Gaya.

    By Road

    Gaya is well-connected to other cities in Bihar and nearby states such as Jharkhand and West Bengal by road. The city has a good network of national and state highways. Some of the popular highways that connect Gaya to other cities include the NH-2, NH-83, and NH-83A. If you are travelling from Patna, the capital city of Bihar, you can take the NH-30 which is a four-lane highway that connects Patna to Gaya. The distance between Patna and Gaya is about 100 km, and it takes about 2-3 hours to reach Gaya by road. If you are travelling from Kolkata, you can take the NH-19 which connects Kolkata to Gaya via Asansol and Dhanbad. The distance between Kolkata and Gaya is about 400 km, and it takes about 7-8 hours to reach Gaya by road.
