The monsoon season usually starts in late June and continues till September, during which the district receives most of its rainfall. The average annual rainfall in the district is around 1250 mm. The winter season lasts from November to February, during which the temperature drops to around 5°C. The summer season lasts from March to June, during which the temperature can rise to around 45°C.
