The historic city of Punjab, Ludhiana, has an important place not only in Punjab but all over the country. Its ancient name was Lodi-coming, which was in the name of the Lodi dynasty. Ludhiana is a pioneer in terms of trade and tourism. The local people here are called Ludhianvi, who are famous for their guest. Ludhiana is an important industrial hub of Punjab located on the southern bank of the Sutlej River. There are many historical and religious places around Ludhiana.
500 years the ancient Lodhi Fort was built by Muslim ruler Sikandar Lodhi along the Sutlej River. The fortress was constructed to meet military purposes. Later, Sultan Lodhi held his two generals here. The fort has been hit by many invaders in the last five centuries.
Nehru Rose Garden
The garden was established in 1967. This place is good for spending a total moment with family and children. Rose Garden (Rose Garden) is asia's largest park. The garden spans an area of 27 acres and has 17000 plants in which more than 1600 species of roses can be seen. The garden has musical fountain that put four moons in the beauty of the garden. The Daily Festival is celebrated every year, which is seen by thousands of tourists from afar.
ThisMughalSarai was built by Sher Shah Suri in the 17th century. The inn is spread over an area of 168 sq km and is surrounded by high ramparts. Each corner has octagonal quotas. The entrance to the south and northern direction looks quite grand.
The Zoological Park of Ludhiana is located at a distance of six kms from the city. It is called Tiger Safari because it is very thrilling to see tigers swinging in the dense forests. Tourists can see tiger, black buck, rabbit, sambhar and peacock here.
Hardy's world are the largest water parks in Punjab. The park is located on Ludhiana-Jalandhar GT Road. Its premises have shopping complexes, party areas and food drinking shops. In this water park, tourists can enjoy many water rides and other activities like eye skating. The most important attraction of this place is the wave pool that attracts children. People of all age groups can enjoy this park.
Punjab Agricultural University Museum
The world famous Punjab Agricultural UniversityMuseumwas established in 1962. It is located in the outskirts of the city. It has been built on a sample of the LAND Grant College of America. The museum related to rural history can also be seen on its campus. Through a long way can be reached to the museum which is surrounded by canals. The old bronze utensils and khetibari equipment stored here are visible.
Gurudwara Shri Manji Sahib Alamgir
10 km from Ludhiana. At this distant place, Muslim devotees, Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan, brought Guru Gobind Singh to protect them from war. There is a kund in the Gurudwara which is said to have been fired by Guru Gobind Singh on earth and extracted the water from here. The Mela is held every year in the month of December.
The Clock Tower of Ludhiana is more than 100 years old. It was built as a memorable one on the completion of 25 years of Queen Victoria rule. Since then, the building has witnessed many changes in the city. Themarketon both sides of the broad road in front of the steeple had a wide market which is the largest market in Ludhiana.
