Culture and Tourism

The city celebrates various festivals throughout the year, including Diwali, Holi, Eid, and Ganesh Chaturthi. One of the most important festivals in Beed is the Pola festival, which is celebrated in honor of the bull, which is considered a symbol of strength and power.

The nearby city of Aurangabad, which is about 145 kilometers from Beed, is a popular tourist destination and is home to several historical sites, including the Ajanta and Ellora caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Transportation

Beed is well connected by road and rail. The National Highway 52, which connects Mumbai to Bangalore, passes through the city. The city also has a railway station, which is located on the Parbhani-Latur section of the South Central Railway. The nearest airport is the Aurangabad airport, which is about 150 kilometers from Beed.
