Kanha National Park
Madhya Pradesh is famous for its national parks and forests. The natural beauty of the world famous Kanha National Park located in Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh has always been a centre of attraction among tourists. Kanha is one of the most picturesque and beautiful wildlife reserves in Asia. Kanha was established as a sanctuary in 1933 and was declared as a national park in 1955. Many animal birds have been preserved here. The species of almost extinct Barhsingha is seen here.
Jim Corbett National Park
The world famous Jim Corbett National Park is in Ramnagar town in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India. Nanda Devi National Park and Valley of Flowers National Park have been jointly declared as World Heritage Sites in 1988.
