Digboi Tourism

Digboi is a small town, very beautiful city in the north eastern part of Tinsukia district in the state of Assam, one of the most important cities in Assam, which has a large number of tourists day after day for its beauty along the Brahmaputra River. The oil city is known as Digboi. Digboi was well settled mainly because there were a significant number of British professionals working for the Assam Oil Company until decades after India s independence.

There is a golf course of eighteen holes as part of the Digboi Club. In Digboi itself, crude oil was discovered here in the last years of the 19th century. This area is filled with thick forests and looks very attractive.
