One of the most ancient cities in Arunachal Pradesh, Ziro is a small hill station surrounded by hills filled with pine trees. Dense forests spread all over the region are the homes of tribal people. This area is also very popular because of its paddy fields. Ziro is very rich in terms of plants and animals and is an ideal place for nature due to its diversity.
The tribal people in Ziro are so fond of nature that they worship nature like God and find themselves connected to it. The people there live by making handicrafts and handloom products besides Farms. Apart from other tribal people, the people of the Eno are permanent residents of the Gyro region. There are many festivals celebrated by your toni, including the Myoko festival celebrated in March, the Murung festival celebrated in January and the Dri festival of July.

How to Reach
By Air
Jorhat is the nearest airport which is 98 kms away from Assam. Another airport is Lilabari which is at a distance of 123 kms from zero and is about 449 km from zero, Guwahati International Airport.
By Rail
Naharlagun (100 km) and North Lakhimpur (117 km) are the two railway stations to reach here. Daily trains run from Guwahati to Naharlagun from New Delhi one day a week.
By Road
Buses ply at night from Guwahati to zero. Arunachal Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses run four days a week. However, you can reach the Zero Valley by taxi from here to North Lakhimpur or Itanagar.
When to go
The month of February to October is the best for visiting Zero Valley. There is a music festival in September. In which people from all over the country and abroad come to join.
