Madhuri Lake is located at a distance of about 36 kms from Tawang. Another attraction of Tawang city is pt tso lake located about 25 km from Tawang city. In terms of tourism, it is a very attractive place and is known for activities like picnics. The beautiful atmosphere around pt tso lake mesmerizes tourists.

How to Reach Tawang

Tawang is a beautiful town located in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The nearest major city to Tawang is Guwahati, which is around 520 kilometers away from the town. From Guwahati, you can take a bus or hire a private car to reach Tawang. The journey takes around 12-14 hours, depending on the road conditions and traffic. The road passes through the beautiful landscapes of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, with views of rivers, forests, and mountains. Alternatively, you can also take a shared taxi from Guwahati to Bomdila, which is a small town located around 180 kilometers away from Tawang. From Bomdila, you can take another shared taxi to reach Tawang, which is around 100 kilometers away. This option is more affordable than hiring a private car, but it can be time-consuming and uncomfortable, as the taxis are usually overcrowded.
