Telangana

Telangana

Created in 2014 after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana is a relatively new state in southern India. It is known for its rich history and culture, which dates back to the ancient kingdoms of the Deccan plateau. The state is home to several important historical and cultural landmarks, including the Golconda Fort, Charminar, and the Qutub Shahi Tombs. Agriculture is the main source of income, with rice, cotton, and sugarcane being the major crops. The state is also a major producer of information technology and pharmaceuticals.

Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Also known as the city of Nizams. It was built by Muhammad Porter Qutub Shah and named after his girlfriend Bhagmati, The Hadra later named 'Bhagya Nagar'. When Bhagmati's name was 'Haidiri Begum', the name of Destiny Nagar changed to 'Hyderabad'. Since then Hyderabad has been known by this name. Hyderabad is also known as the best 'City of Nizams' and 'City of Pearls'. The beauty of Hyderabad can be seen in the steep hills around and the River Moses flowing between them.

Golkonda Port

Built on magnificent hills, this fort is located 11 kilometers from the city center. It was originally constructed by the Kakatsa in the form of a mud fort, during the Qutb Shahi dynasty, it was converted into an impressive fort in the 16th and 17th centuries. In the 17th century, there was a long battle between the Mughal army and Qutb Shahi, which ended with the conquest of the Mughals.  When you come here, definitely check out its magnificent sound system because the voice at the entrance of the fort is heard in the entire fort. The history of Golkonda actually comes alive during the show of sound and light which is held every evening in English, Hindi and Telugu. The dignified tombs of the Qutb Shahi rulers are situated between the beautiful gardens in a separate campus near the Golconda Fort.  Early morning or onset evening is the right time to visit here. Charminar

The first place in Hyderabad that I miss to visit is Charminar. Just like the Taj Mahal in Agra, the Eiffel Tower in Paris are famous, and there is pride, similarly Charminar is the pride of Hyderabad. It is located in the heart of the city, meanwhile in the middle. This monument was built by Mohammad Quli Qutb in 1591. The architecture of Charminar reflects the Sajia style. The reason behind the construction of the memorial was a deadly epidemic, which took many lives during that period. This memorial was closed to keep people alert. The four towers here are 48.7 meters long. There is also a mosque and 45 prayer spaces inside the Charminar. It is a very crowded area due to being situated in the middle of the city. There is also a market around it, where things can be bought cheaply. Read to know the history of the four minarets of Hyderabad.
