You can reach the IGI airport from New Delhi Railway Station in just 18 minutes by traveling from the Airport Express Metro Line. And there will be many ticket counter and automatic ticket vending machines in New Delhi station, at the beginning of any passenger or luggage Check-in will not be available. That makes the trip quite enjoyable At IGI Airport Metro Station, you have to cross three levels to reach Terminal 3. Along with the availability of several escalators, Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt Ltd (DAMPL) officials claim that the Metro station has been kept unidirectional and very pleasant to go inside. The top level of the metro station at the IGI airport opens up to the T3 check-in area with a traveller on the left. However, after the check-in facility is available on the IGI link, the passengers can avail the benefits of Traveller only. Traveller inside the metro station becomes involved in the traveller within Terminal 3, and the passenger will take it directly to the flying entrance. Initially, passengers have to land from the subway and have to move towards the already established airline check-in counter inside Terminal 3. Along with the security check-up, the baggage check-in is currently in the normal course. Once the check-in facility becomes available, one passenger will be able to check-in at the airline counter within the metro station. Baggage is done at check-in counter. If ever you have many luggages with you, you can opt to just ride a cab to reach the Terminal 1D from the Delhi Aerocity Metro Station. Fare would be around Rs. 150 to Rs. 250 and you would reach the terminal within 10 minutes. This is also applicable for those who cant make it to the timings of the feeder buses which dont run all throughout the day or night. This is also applicable for those who need to catch their flight and just dont have the time to spare to wait for the buses or its loading of the passengers. An Alternative Journey You Can Take One alternative you can take is to reach the Terminal 3 via the IGI Airport Metro Station. So you have the same journey as above, only you alight at the IGI Airport Metro Station instead of the Delhi Aerocity Metro Station. Journey duration would be around 20 minutes and fare would be at Rs. 60 per passenger. From the Terminal 3, there are shuttles that transfer passengers to Terminal 1 of the IGI Airport. These shuttles are operated by the DTC or Delhi Transport Corporation. Frequency is every 10 to 20 minutes and journey would take around 20 to 30 minutes, more or less.
